Dededemomchan, 2015, 6 speakers, Costumes, Sculptures, Mirror, Sound 1.24 minutes

This work was a site-specific installation including sound, objects, costumes, and art writing. I wrote about fantasy as a survival mechanism using a transmedia approach in the storytelling of the short essays. I explored in words; Japanese onomatopoeia’s focus on emotions and experiences that are difficult to describe. I was particularly interested in the utopian human desire in gender-bending animals in a quest to find a space where gender difference is something celebratory and equal instead of inciting discrimination.
